Garnier Vitamin C Shot Mask Boots
The Garnier Fresh-Mix Tissue Masks are the latest addition to their face mask range. They are the first 'DIY' mix it yourself shot mask by Garnier. Each mask contains the quantity of one bottle of serum. In the packet in the top section, you have the ultra absorbent algae dry tissue mask which is waiting to be infused. On the bottom section of the packet is the hydrating formula which is enriched with either Vitamin C for the Glow Shot or Hyaluronic Acid for the Replumping Shot. You mix the mask together when you want to use it. Once you have mixed the two together it instantly transforms into a soft gel with a bouncy cushion texture that perfectly fits to the face.
It gives you instructions on how to use on the back of the packet. First you fold the sachet according to the arrow and dotted line on the back of the packet. You then fold again according to the second arrow on the right, which then pushes the juice as well. Once you have it folded, you need to push the juice upwards until the seal opens. When the seal is open you push the juice into the tissue chamber, making sure the mask is fully infused with the product. You then open the sachet on the side and apply the mask. Leave it on for 15 minutes and once removed you can either remove any excess product or massage into your skin.
Fresh-Mix Tissue Mask in Glow Shot
The Glow shot mask is enriched with Vitamin C. It replumps the skin with moisture and leaves the skin looking brighter, as well as evening the skin complexion.
This was the first one out of the two that I tried. I found the packet was easy to fold and to push the juice into the top section. I found it worked best pushing the juice at the bottom of the packet, so you could get a good amount of pressure on it. You do hear when the seal has broken and can see the juice soaking into the mask. I found there was too much juice for what you actually needed for the mask. They could have actually put less in the packet, as it wasn't needed. When I took the mask out it was soaked and actually had too much liquid on, so I had to squeeze some out first before applying to me face.
The mask applies so easily to the face, as it is soaked in so much product. Once I had the mask on, I like to massage it a bit, to work the product into my skin a bit more.
I found it was comfortable to wear and I could walk around in it. The part around your mouth does move a bit, which I find with all of these masks. The mask feels different to the moisture bomb ones, this is thinner and feels quite cushiony.
It has a slight scent which you can smell whilst wearing it, but then once I've removed the mask, I couldn't smell it anymore.
I found there was a lot of product to massage into the skin after I had removed the mask. It took a while to dry down afterwards as well. My skin looked brighter, it wasn't looking as dull. My skin looked fresher, the skin complexion looked different and it had definitely evened it out and was smoother. It felt really hydrated and still was the next morning. I did find even after it had dried down, that my skin felt a bit greasy, which I didn't like.
Fresh-Mix Tissue Mask in Replumping Shot
The Replumping shot mask is enriched with Hyaluronic Acid. It replumps the skin with moisture and leaves the skin feeling bouncier and smoother.
I decided this time to squeeze less juice into the mask, as I found last time there was too much. This time I got the right amount on the mask, so I didn't have to squeeze any out. It fitted the same as the first one to my face.
This mask had a slight scent as well, but just like with the last one, I couldn't smell it afterwards.
I massaged in the excess product once I had removed the mask. My skin looked smoother, felt soft and really hydrated. The next morning my skin was still feeling nicely hydrated. I would say my skin looked a little bit more plumped and bouncier. I found my skin felt a little bit greasy when the excess product had first soaked in. After it had been on my skin for a while and had more time to soak in, I didn't get the greasy feeling anymore.
I personally prefer the moisture bomb masks from Garnier, as you don't have to mess about making your own mask, you can just take it straight out the packet.
These are available to buy for £3.99 each from Boots UK.
